Currently, data comes from the College’s PeopleSoft system in the form of comma-delimited text. This information is consumed by Novell’s Identity Manager to provision network accounts for students and staff. There are about 100,000 accounts maintained in this manner. Plans are in the works to connect the PeopleSoft system directly to the eDirectory system using Novell’s PeopleSoft driver. In addition to IDM, the College uses Novell Storage Manager (formerly File System Factory) to automatically maintain home directories and group-based home directories for staff and students.
